About Us

As an enthusiastic badge collector I am always on the lookout for a badge to buy wherever I go and whatever I take part in. My six camp blankets are a chronological story, in badges, of nearly 50 years of adventures from my very first badge received as a Brownie onwards.

Island Badges started from a desire to make badges available for places where it would be great to find a badge to capture and record a memory of a place or an adventure. 

The Island Badges collection started very much with the Outer Hebrides having lived there, and looked hopefully for badges, for more than 21 years. However, I have already started to expand on that and have begun designing badges for more places, both on mainland Scotland and in England. All suggestions for potential future places for badge designs are most welcome!
